Going to your first tournament? The rules at Poker Room GTO are simple and aimed at fair, comfortable play.
Before the game
- register and read the club rules;
- pay the entry ticket — it is participation, not a bet;
- receive your starting stack of chips.
What matters at the table
- wait for your turn;
- announce your action clearly: check, call, raise or fold;
- don't show your cards to others during the hand;
- respect your opponents and the dealer.
Not allowed: talking about money and stakes, passing chips to other players. This violates the no-money-stakes poker format.
Player etiquette
Good manners mean playing at a reasonable pace, not commenting on others' play and staying calm when you lose.
